Hirsch Delivers Walk-Off Win for Missions
The Montgomery Missions beat the South Pasadena Air Riders, 8-6, at Missions Grove. The Missions got a fine performance from designated hitter Rogelio Rodriguez, who went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2. Luis Garcia, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. With the victory, the Missions record stands at 24-22.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Montgomery. That's when Tom Hirsch hit a 2-run home run off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Tyler Murphy to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Hirsch said, postgame.
