At Panthers Park, the Wichita Panthers and Savannah Alpines were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Savannah Alpines stormed past the Wichita Panthers, 13-5, at Panthers Park. Savannah left fielderCollin Mays led the hit parade. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4. Daniel Diaz got the save, the 2nd for him this season.

With Savannah leading 3-2 in the top of the second, Mays hit a 2-run single off Wichita hurler Chris Soto. It was the 17th hit of the season for Mays and put his team ahead, 5-2.

"We take it day by day here," said Mays, "and today was a good one for us."

The first-place Alpines improved to 24-22.
