Though he had a terrific game, Ken Beck could not prevent his team, the Niskayuna Fighting Knights, from absorbing a loss. Anaheim won the game, 7-6. Beck was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. Jose Robles, 2-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. With the win, Anaheim pushed its record to 36-32.

Jeremy Matheson was the walk-off hero for Anaheim. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Music shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This house was rockin'," Matheson said.
