Beck Helps Fighting Knights Defeat Music, 10-6
Niskayuna and Anaheim got after it at Music Grove.

Ken Beck, who is tied for 8th in the SL2 in home runs with 13, led Niskayuna to a triumph over Anaheim. The final score was 10-6. The third baseman went 3 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 3 runs and added 4 RBI. Juan Bravo earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Beck contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Niskayuna in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 6-5, Beck took a splitter from Asakichi Funaki and stroked the home run to center. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Fighting Knights to leap in front, 8-6.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Beck told a Niskayuna Chronicle reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."

The last-place Fighting Knights hiked their record to 27-40.
