The Sikeston Shamrocks and Mt. Vernon Cyclones put on quite a show.

The Sikeston Shamrocks topped the Mt. Vernon Cyclones, 7-5, in 10 innings at Mt. Vernon Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Sikeston first baseman Steven Forlenza. Matt Drayton was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Cory Hobbs. Earning his 12th save of the year was Paul Ganley.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Forlenza delivered big-time for Sikeston, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Cory Hobbs. The game-changing hit put the Shamrocks on top, 5-4.

"Feels good to get the job done," Forlenza said after the game.

Sikeston has an impressive 30-14 record.
