A good performance from second baseman George Kellogg helped the Wichita Panthers defeat the Mt. Vernon Cyclones, 6-2. Kellogg went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Panthers. Wichita now sits at 37-31, while Mt. Vernon falls to 36-32.

Sean Phillips aided the Wichita cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk.
