A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Savannah Alpines and Ontario Sunrays.

The Savannah Alpines coasted to a win over the Ontario Sunrays, 10-2. Mark White had a good day at the plate for Savannah. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The Alpines sport a record of 24-41.

With Savannah leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, White batted against Ontario pitcher Drew Martin. White hit a fastball to left for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Alpines on top, 4-1.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Ontario manager Sam Story. "We got trounced."
