The Montgomery Missions downed the Newport News Wranglers, 8-3, at Wranglers Stadium. Kyle Hirsch led the way, going 2-for-2 for Montgomery. Montgomery pitcher Jeff O'Donovan got the win. He's now 5-3. Ivan Gonzalez was tagged with the loss. Lee Davidson locked down his 1st save.

Paul Adam had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the second for Montgomery. With the bases loaded and the Missions leading 2-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"We're cooking on all cylinders right now," said Hirsch.
