Spring Park Upended by Sikeston, 5-2
|
With right fielder Marcos Cortez leading the charge, the Sikeston Shamrocks defeated the Spring Park Green Knights, 5-2, at Ballpark of Spring Park. Cortez was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The loss makes Spring Park 24-33.
Cortez had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Shamrocks went on to win.
"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Sikeston manager William Antczak.
