The Wichita Panthers and Montgomery Missions completed their game despite the inclement weather.

Led by Eric Cannova, the Wichita Panthers defeated the Montgomery Missions, 8-4. Cannova went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Panthers. Mark Montgomery, the winner, is now 1-4. He struck out 2 and walked 2 over 5 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 2 hits.

In the top of the third, Cannova had one of his most important at-bats: a run-scoring single off Miguel Crespo that staked the Panthers to a 3-2 lead.

Wichita manager Ross Meister commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
