The Santa Barbara Super Troopers converted a terrific effort from starter Mike Giacalone into a win over the Mt. Vernon Cyclones at Mt. Vernon Grounds. The Super Troopers won the game by a final score of 6-2. Giacalone yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 1. His record improves to 1-2. With the win, Santa Barbara pushed its record to 33-18.

Santa Barbara used the clutch hitting of Corey McKeone to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Super Troopers ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
