MacPherson Helps Super Troopers Run Win Streak to 8
The Santa Barbara Super Troopers captured an easy win, 16-4, over the Niskayuna Fighting Knights at Fighting Knights Field. Mike MacPherson led the offensive barrage, going 2-for-4 for Santa Barbara. The winner was Mike Pistorio, who threw 86 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits. The Super Troopers have now reeled off 8 straight wins.

With Santa Barbara leading 10-4 in the top of the seventh, MacPherson batted against Niskayuna pitcher Danny Ramirez. MacPherson hit a fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Super Troopers on top, 13-4.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," MacPherson told the Santa Barbara Observer.
