Shamrocks Pull Off Thrilling 5-3 Win in Extras
The Sikeston Shamrocks defeated the Montgomery Missions, 5-3, in 10 innings in Sub League 2 action at Missions Grove. Sikeston pitcher Mike Reich had a standout performance. Pedro Tello notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. Paul Ganley finished to wrap up his 6th save.

Angel Solorzano was 1 for 4 with a walk for Sikeston. With two out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Solorzano had a clutch at-bat. Facing Montgomery hurler Luis Garcia, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Shamrocks a 4-3 lead.

Reich expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."

The win gives Sikeston a record of 16-8.
