A good performance from designated hitter Bobby Sidener helped the Wichita Panthers defeat the Sikeston Shamrocks, 11-8. Sidener was 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 for the Panthers. The winner in relief was Brian Wilson. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Wichita used the timely hitting of Bobby Spross to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Panthers on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It took some blood and sweat, but we got what we were after," said Panthers manager Ross Meister.
