In a low-scoring tilt between the Santa Barbara Super Troopers and the Montgomery Missions, Roy Garcia, who is tied for 2nd in the SL2 with a 1.13 WHIP, was the difference-maker. The Santa Barbara right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Reliever Steve Albrecht picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Danny Peralta took the loss. The win for the Super Troopers lifted their record to 35-8.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Mike MacPherson came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Montgomery pitcher Danny Peralta, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Santa Barbara on top, 3-2.

MacPherson attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
