The Montgomery Missions faced a tough opponent in Savannah pitcher Roberto Tapia, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Missions Grove by a final score of 6-5. Tapia went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Danny Peralta, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 0 and walking 1. The Missions improved to 22-13.

The Missions were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 22-year old right fielder Edgar Ramos landed a big blow. He turned a first pitch sinker from Danny Barrera into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Missions Grove denizens into a frenzy and sent the Missions home with a thrilling 6-5 win.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Ramos said.
