Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Savannah Alpines got the win.

The Savannah Alpines picked up a win at Alpines Stadium, knocking off the Ontario Sunrays, 4-2. Starting pitcher Jonathan Chavez was a big reason why. The save was credited to Danny Barrera, his 2nd.

Pael Espanol had a big run-scoring triple for the Alpines in the bottom of the second inning. With Savannah leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Pat Potter, who is tied for 2nd in the SL2 in quality starts with 4, and swatted a triple to center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Alpines ahead, 2-0.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Espanol.

The Alpines sport a record of 12-20.
