The Ontario Sunrays turned back the Savannah Alpines, 5-4, at Alpines Stadium. Jerry Tully, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Ontario bumps their record to 11-20 with the win.
Ontario used the hitting of Tim Amos to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Sunrays on top, 4-1. For the game, Amos had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Savannah manager Ryan Allen.
