The Sikeston Shamrocks defeated the Carson City Miners, 6-4, at Shamrocks Park. Leading the charge for Sikeston was center fielder Jayden Howard. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Keith Carter picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-0 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 0 in 7 innings, while yielding 4 runs. Picking up the save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Bobby Simpson.

The Shamrocks got a big hit from second baseman Russ Philip. Facing Carson City pitcher Mario Villalobos in the bottom of the sixth, Philip pounded a 2-run double to center. His 3rd double of the season put the Shamrocks ahead, 6-3.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Sikeston manager William Antczak.

The Shamrocks, now 21-11, have won 4 in a row.
