Cyclones Come Up Short at Anaheim, 6-5
Mt. Vernon got a terrific game from right fielder Elijah Callender. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Anaheim, 6-5. Callender was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Miguel Martinez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. The third-place Music bumped their record to 19-11.

Anaheim catcher Ryan Rosenson pitched in with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Rosenson was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Rosenson.
