Sikeston Gets 5-2 Road Win
The Sikeston Shamrocks defeated the Santa Barbara Super Troopers, 5-2. Catcher Mike Hydo deserved a large share of the credit. Hydo was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Shamrocks. Picking up his 1st save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Paul Ganley. The defeat makes Santa Barbara 6-1.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Bryan Agin? The Sikeston right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Shamrocks on top, 2-0. For the game, Agin had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Sikeston skipper William Antczak.
