Super Troopers Deal Sikeston 4-3 Defeat

The Santa Barbara Super Troopers did just enough to sneak past the Sikeston Shamrocks, 4-3, at Car Ramrod Park. Santa Barbara right fielder Luis Ortega, in particular, had a standout performance. John Robertson got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 4.2 innings. The Santa Barbara winning streak has reached 5 games.
Chris Cantu was 1 for 3 with a walk for Santa Barbara. The 19-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Xiao-xuan Gong. It was his 10th walk of the season.
