Shortstop Wagner goes 3-for-4 in Santa Barbara Win
The Santa Barbara Super Troopers topped the South Pasadena Air Riders by a score of 8-4. Leading the way was shortstop Doug Wagner. Wagner was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Super Troopers. The Super Troopers, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.

The Air Riders had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Super Troopers going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old left fielder Jordan McPherson came to the plate. McPherson hit a run-scoring triple on a first pitch changeup from South Pasadena hurler Rogelio Camarillo. It was McPherson's 2nd triple of the year.

McPherson told the Santa Barbara News: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."
