In the 6-5 Niskayuna win over Newport News, the impact of Rob Campbell was substantial. Campbell went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Juan Esquibel came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. The Wranglers, now 14-11, have been consistent this season. Consistently bad.

Had Campbell not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Campbell hit a 2-run single. The Fighting Knights took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.

"Rob was ready to go. Big day for him," said Niskayuna manager Jonathan Anderson.
