Fading Cyclones Lose 6th Straight
The Sikeston Shamrocks defeated the Mt. Vernon Cyclones, 11-6, in Sub League 2 action at Mt. Vernon Grounds. Sikeston pitcher Matthew Tapscott had a standout performance. The win gives Sikeston a record of 15-10.

Pat Haney delivered a big hit for Sikeston. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Shamrocks ahead, 8-6. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Haney.
