The Wichita Panthers had no problem beating the Montgomery Missions, 13-3, at Panthers Park. Emanuel Delgadillo led the way. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Wichita. The Panthers, now 16-6, have been on fire in the early going.

In the bottom of the first, Wichita right fielder Jim Cook had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Cook stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 1-0, Wichita. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with a walk.
