Super Troopers Win Squeaker, 10-9, Over Fighting Knights
Despite the exploits of third baseman Ken Beck, the Niskayuna Fighting Knights were beaten by the Santa Barbara Super Troopers, 10-9, in 11 innings. Beck went 3 for 6 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The Super Troopers raised their record to 15-8.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Ruben Vences in the bottom of the 11th. That's when he hit a solo home run off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Scott Chrysler to win it for Santa Barbara and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"This place sure got loud," said Tyler Haskin, the Santa Barbara manager.
