Naturals Absorb 4-3 Home Loss
|
Medford Desperados starter Cory Miles pitched a strong game against the Greensboro Naturals at Naturals Grounds, leading the Desperados to victory, 4-3. Medford reliever Victor Martinez picked up the win, upping his record to 7-2. Gerardo Mendoza absorbed the loss. The Naturals, now 55-83, have lost 4 straight.
Cole Roth came through with a big-time hit for Medford. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"It's a mindset," said Miles. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
