Thanks in large part to right fielder Kyle Hirsch, the Montgomery Missions beat the Carson City Miners, 9-4. Hirsch was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Carson City now has a record of 13-10.

Hirsch contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Montgomery in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Hirsch took a fastball from Victor Meza and stroked the home run to center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Missions to leap in front, 2-1.
