The Montgomery Missions besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Sikeston third baseman Matt Duval by beating the Shamrocks, 11-9, at Missions Grove. Duval went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Montgomery is now 10-10.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Danny Clemons barreled up a fastball from Matthew Tapscott. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Missions in front, 11-1.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Montgomery manager Hoa Nguyen-Dinh.
