The Montgomery Missions beat the Sikeston Shamrocks, 12-7, at Missions Grove. Montgomery center fielder Paul Marks had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. With the win, Montgomery improves its record to 9-10.

Had Javy Perez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Perez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Missions.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Missions manager Hoa Nguyen-Dinh. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
