Lynx Win with Late Rally
|
Good production from center fielder Mark Thompson helped the Ottawa Lynx topple the St. Joseph Mighty Mites, 4-3. Thompson went 2-3 with 2 singles, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 for the Lynx. Ottawa raised its record to 70-67 with the win.
The Lynx got a clutch hit from third baseman Sean Gery. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Lynx.
"This game tested our mettle," said Gery.
