Alvarez goes 4-for-4 to Ignite Unicorns Offense
The 4-hit performance of Mario Alvarez helped the Newport Unicorns beat the Medford Desperados, 7-2. The losing streak for Medford has now reached 4 games.

Newport second baseman Mike Middlebrooks contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 57th hit of the season and put the Unicorns ahead, 1-0.
