Philip Leads Shamrocks to Win
Russ Philip was a vital contributor to the 6-1 Sikeston victory over Niskayuna. The Shamrocks second baseman was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Rich Bryan got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Fighting Knights to no runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The win puts Sikeston at 7-7.

With Sikeston leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Philip batted against Niskayuna pitcher Ayres Palhao. Philip hit a curveball to center for a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season put the Shamrocks on top, 3-0.
