Wranglers Take Tight Tangle
The Newport News Wranglers topped the Savannah Alpines, 3-2, in Sub League 2 action at Wranglers Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Newport News pitcher Alex Gonzales. Savannah falls to 3-10.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when Newport News catcher Rob Carrigan, facing Tony Martinez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Wranglers the 3-2 win.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Carrigan.
