The Carson City Miners knocked off the Savannah Alpines, 6-2, at Miners Ballpark. Tim O'Connor was a big reason Carson City won. The designated hitter went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Jeremy Killian collected save number 3. Carson City, now 10-3, is playing great baseball to start the year.

Steve Anderson aided the Carson City cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman was 1-3 with a walk, while scoring 2 runs.
