Fighting Knights Suffer 9-7 Loss to Sunrays
At Sunrays Field, the Niskayuna Fighting Knights and Ontario Sunrays were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Ontario Sunrays withstood an impressive performance by Niskayuna catcher Dave Puskas to defeat the Fighting Knights, 9-7, at Sunrays Field. Puskas was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the win, Ontario boosts its record to 6-5.

The Sunrays benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the third. With David Herman at bat and Ontario leading 4-3, the Niskayuna miscue allowed Ontario to plate 1 and take the lead, 5-3.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Herman, "but we got it done."
