Alpines Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4
The Savannah Alpines stopped the Sikeston Shamrocks, 5-4, in 10 innings at Alpines Stadium. The Alpines got a big game from Mike Fitzgerald, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Savannah reliever Hector Ibarra was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Daniel Hernandez. The win has Savannah at 4-7.

With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, Fitzgerald delivered for Savannah. That's when he hit a solo home run off Daniel Hernandez to win the game.
