The Santa Barbara Super Troopers pinned a convincing loss on the Newport News Wranglers, 10-1, at Car Ramrod Park. Luis Ortega was a main factor in the win. He went 4-4 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara goes to 3-4.

Ortega had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a double. The Super Troopers went on to win.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Newport News manager Adam Tate.
