Panthers Earn Late Win
Car Ramrod Park was the site of the home opener for the Santa Barbara Super Troopers. The contest featured a prime matchup between Hector Mendoza of the visiting Wichita Panthers and Ramon Rivera of the Super Troopers. The final score was 2-1, the Panthers getting the win. Ramon Rivera turned in the best performance. The winner in relief was Juan Soriano. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0.
