Loss to Lynx Extends Greensboro Losing Streak
|
Ottawa turned a good effort from starter Josh Few into a win over the Greensboro Naturals at Rivermen Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Bobby Cosby earned save number 1 this season. The last-place Naturals have lost 6 straight games.
The Lynx got a big at-bat from right fielder Sean Gery. For the game, Gery was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Ottawa a 2-0 lead.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Few.
