Fighting Knights Win Thriller, 7-5
The Niskayuna Fighting Knights defeated the Savannah Alpines, 7-5, in 13 innings. Nate Fard played a big role. Fard went 4-6 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Fighting Knights in the win. The loss drops Savannah to 1-3.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Felix Castillo in the bottom of the 13th. That's when he hit a 2-run home run off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Kareem Jackson to win it for Niskayuna and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"This wasn't a good win," said Castillo. "It was a great win."
