Fitzgerald Helps Savannah Cruise to 12-3 Win
The Niskayuna Fighting Knights opened their 2025 season with a disappointing 12-3 loss to the Savannah Alpines at Fighting Knights Field. First Baseman Mike Fitzgerald was a big part of the win for Savannah. He was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

Pael Espanol, the Savannah catcher, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 6-3, Alpines. For the game, Espanol was 3 for 6 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Fitzgerald told the Savannah Observer.
