Golden Gophers 10-3 Winners Versus Ottawa
The Little Rock Golden Gophers knocked off the Ottawa Lynx, 10-3, at Little Rock Grounds. Justin Dawson was a big reason Little Rock won. The designated hitter went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Little Rock pitcher Miguel Flores earned the win, hiking his record to 4-1. Bobby Pfau suffered the loss. The loss makes Ottawa 60-59.

With Little Rock leading 7-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Dawson came up to bat against Ottawa pitcher Henry Weinert. Dawson hit a slider to left for a 3-run home run. His 24th home run of the season put the Golden Gophers on top, 10-1.

Dawson told a Little Rock Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
