The Little Rock Golden Gophers beat the Ottawa Lynx, 4-2, in 10 innings at Little Rock Grounds. Little Rock catcher J.D. Gordon had an outstanding performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Little Rock reliever Gregg Daugherty picked up the win to move to 5-2. Bobby Cosby suffered the loss. The first-place Golden Gophers hiked their record to 91-26.
Gordon dealt the big blow in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he launched a 2-run home run off Ottawa pitcher Bobby Cosby to win it for the Golden Gophers.
"This place was jumping at the end," Gordon said.
