The Greensboro Naturals had no problem beating the Providence Hex, 11-1, at Naturals Grounds. Justin Freas, who is tied for 9th in the SL1 in triples with 4, led the onslaught. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Greensboro. Jose Chavez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. With this game in the books, Greensboro is 48-66, Providence 60-54.

With Greensboro leading 5-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Freas batted against Providence pitcher John Savage. Freas hit a changeup to left for a 3-run home run. His 14th home run of the season put the Naturals on top, 8-1.

"Good pitching and timely hitting is a recipe for success," said Freas.
