Hex Topple Golden Gophers, 7-3, as Guevara Shines
The Providence Hex took on the Little Rock Golden Gophers at Little Rock Grounds.

Providence first baseman Ruben Guevara contributed significantly to his team's 7-3 win over the Little Rock Golden Gophers. Guevara, who is tied for 4th in the SL1 in hits with 178, went 4 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Hex. Ed Gonell picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 13-9.

With Providence trailing 2-1 in the top of the third, Guevara hit a 2-run single off Little Rock hurler Willie Trujillo. It was the 178th hit of the season for Guevara and put his team ahead, 3-2.
