Grissom Helps Black Aces Beat Unicorns, 9-2
The 3-hit performance of Matt Grissom helped the Santa Ana Black Aces beat the Newport Unicorns, 9-2. Roberto Alcaide picked up the win, lifting his record to 11-6 on the season. He struck out 9 and walked 2 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run. With the win, Santa Ana pushed its record to 96-44.

Grissom had a key at-bat for Santa Ana in the bottom of the first. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 24th home run of the season and gave Santa Ana an early 2-0 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Grissom told the Santa Ana Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
