The Tacoma Thunder Wolves had to overcome a big game from Ottawa right fielder Tim McHugh to leave Thunder Wolves Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. McHugh was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win belonged to Kyoshi Fujikawa in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Kris Lee took the loss for Ottawa. The Thunder Wolves raised their record to 54-83.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Aiden Johnson came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Ottawa pitcher Kris Lee, he hit a first pitch slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Tacoma on top, 5-4.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Ottawa manager Nick Boyd. "The effort was great."
