Late Rally by Desperados Seals 6th Straight Win
|
The Medford Desperados used the hitting of designated hitter Cody Griffith to subdue the Julian Jammers, 10-6. For the game, Griffith was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. The Desperados, at 89-43, lead by one game in their division.
Medford used the timely hitting of Jayden McClendon to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Desperados on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," McClendon told the Medford Gazette. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
